Senior Fire Engineer – IEng HRB or CEng (HRB), SOCOTEC To support our ambitious growth plans, we need a Senior Fire Engineer to deliver high‑quality fire engineering consultancy to major clients, with a specific focus on higher‑risk buildings (HRBs). Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate building safety case development, ensuring robust assessments and compliance with the Building Safety Act Prepare fire appraisal reports and Fire HAZID assessments to support safety case reports Review fire safety strategies and associated mark‑ups for HRB buildings Provide technical advisory input and undertake site inspections during design, construction and remediation stages

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering with a postgraduate Fire Engineering qualification Working towards or achieved Incorporated HRB registration with the Engineering Council and full membership with the IFE At least four years’ experience in fire safety engineering Strong technical competence in fire dynamics, evacuation, structural fire behaviour and passive/active systems In‑depth knowledge of statutory guidance (ADB, BS 9991, BS 9999, HTMs, BB100, BS 7974 series) and HRB legislation Full membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers and progress towards Chartership At least six years’ experience in fire safety engineering Strong technical knowledge of fire engineering standards and guidance
