Job Description

Location: Cannock
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Rates: £14.42 - £17.42 (PAYE)
We are proud to partner with a global leader to find someone to join their Power Rental division. This is an individual contributor role within the Operations department, reporting directly to the Depot Manager. You will be at the heart of electric power projects, taking the lead on installations and troubleshooting complex technical problems across a diverse fleet of rental equipment.
Your role is dynamic, blending hands-on maintenance with high-level site commissioning:
Maintenance & Repair: Perform in-depth repairs and routine inspections on generators, load-banks, transformers, and fuel tanks.
Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues quickly and safely to maintain uptime for your customers.
Digital Integration: Document all ready to rent and return inspections using the latest digital inspection applications.
Mentorship: Act as a technical lead, directing and mentoring junior engineering team members and sub-contractors.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
You must be apprenticeship trained with an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electronic engineering (or equivalent).
5 years of experience in the rental energy sector or a similar field-based role.
A proven track record in diagnostics and investigation of mechanical and electrical faults
A customer-focused professional who is resourceful, adaptable, and possesses an uncompromising commitment to Health & Safety
