Service & Assembly Technician Location: West Midlands (Workshop-based) Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)

Overview: We’re working with a leading UK engineering firm who design and build specialist tools used in hazardous material handling across defence, emergency services, nuclear and energy sectors. As their operations grow, they’re now looking for a practical and hands-on Service & Assembly Technician to join their team in the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their engineering career—whether you’re recently qualified, apprenticeship-trained or looking to build a long-term technical role in a highly specialised environment.

The Role: The position is workshop-based and offers involvement across the full lifecycle of their products—from initial assembly and testing, to servicing and repair. You’ll work within a close-knit technical team assembling precision mechanical/electrical systems, learning new skills in machining, pneumatics, and diagnostics along the way. You’ll be supported with structured training and offered real progression routes into more senior roles within service, engineering, or project teams.
