Service & Commissioning Engineer \n\nManchester| £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits\n\nAre you an experienced Service or Commissioning Engineer looking for your next challenge in a specialised, safety-critical industry? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading provider of smoke ventilation and life safety systems, working on high-profile projects across the UK.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Service & Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:\n\nInstalling, commissioning, and servicing natural and mechanical smoke ventilation systems.\n\nInspecting, testing, and fault-finding on control panels, HV systems, and safety equipment.\n\nUsing CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) reports to ensure systems meet design and compliance standards.\n\nProducing detailed service and commissioning reports for each project.\n\nLiaising with clients to provide technical advice and solutions.\n\nWorking closely with design, project, and service teams to deliver safe, effective systems.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nExperience in smoke ventilation, life safety, or fire systems.\n\nStrong electrical knowledge with hands-on experience in control panels.\n\nHigh Voltage awareness/qualification (HVAP) - desirable.\n\nKnowledge of CFD reports and their application in ventilation systems - desirable.\n\n18th Edition Electrical Qualification + Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent).\n\nFull UK Driving Licence (max 6 points).\n\nECS or CSCS card .\n\nExcellent problem-solving, reporting, and client communication skills.\n\nWhat's in it for You\n\nSalary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)\n\n23 days holiday (rising to 30) + bank holidays\n\nCompany van, laptop, iPhone & testing equipment\n\nBupa healthcare after qualifying period\n\nEnhanced sick pay after 12 months\n\nFunded training & career development\n\nAnnual company events (summer & Christmas)\n\nHours: Full-time, permanent, Mon-Fri, minimum 40 hours per week.
