Job Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Service Engineer / Service Technician to join our growing service team.

This is a field-based role involving the servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of customer systems, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

You will work both independently and as part of a supportive team, covering customer sites within your allocated area.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing and reactive maintenance

Diagnose and repair system faults

Commission equipment following training

Represent the business professionally on customer sites

Maintain accurate service reports and documentation

Use mobile devices and systems for job management

Deliver high standards of customer care

Participate in the on-call rota

Work closely with senior engineers and management

Requirements

Previous experience in a service, maintenance, or engineering role (preferred)

Strong customer service and communication skills

Confident using smartphones, tablets, and laptops

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Good written and verbal communication skills

Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Understanding of British Standards (desirable)

Willingness to learn and develop professionally

Essential Certifications

FIA (Fire Industry Association) Certification

Honeywell Certificate of Completion (or equivalent)

Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) Card

Asbestos Awareness Training

Manual Handling Training

Enhanced DBS Clearance
