Service Technician / MOT Tester

Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles

Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (where qualified)

*

Diagnose faults accurately using manufacturer diagnostic equipment

*

Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

*

Conduct vehicle health checks and report any additional work required

*

Ensure all job cards, paperwork, and MOT records are completed accurately

*

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

*

Work collaboratively with the service team to meet productivity targets

Requirements

*

Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

*

Valid MOT Tester Licence (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)

*

Proven experience as a Service Technician in a dealership or independent garage

*

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

*

A positive, professional attitude with good attention to detail
