The School Adult and Community Education at Merton College is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to deliver high-quality learning opportunities for adult learners. Youll teach adult learners across a range of levels on non-accredited Pottery courses, supporting participants to develop their skills, creativity and confidence in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. As our Lecturer, wed like you to hold a teaching qualification, have successful teaching experience and have sound knowledge of Pottery and Ceramics. Youll possess academic and/or vocational qualifications in the field of Pottery, with creative knowledge and craftsmanship to teach primarily hand building skills as well as some throwing. Able to plan lessons and use a range of techniques appropriate to learners from diverse educational backgrounds, including adult learners to ensure a stimulating quality learner experience, youll have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety within a Pottery workshop environment. The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
