Our client in Preston is looking to recruit a Sewing Machinist for an ongoing role out of their manufacturing and distribution site.

The role will involve:

• Using various sewing machines, mainly overlock
• Producing garments
• Checking work orders to determine amount of material needed
• Following drawings and designs
• Measure and cutting of materials
• Housekeeping and machine maintenance

The working times and pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00-16:30 and 07:30-12:30 on Fridays
• 39 hours per week after breaks
• £12.71 p/h initially
• Permanent role

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Previous Sewing machine experience with Overlock essential
• Worked in the same industry recently or within the last 3 years
• Ability to read designs, measure materials and cut where needed
