Sewing Machinist

We’re looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our busy production team in Halifax. You’ll be responsible for sewing and assembling fabric components to a high standard using a range of industrial machines, including overlockers.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work to production targets, and a strong focus on quality inspection to ensure all finished products meet company and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate industrial sewing machines, including overlockers, flatbeds, and twin-needle machines.

* Sew, assemble, and finish fabric products according to work instructions and quality requirements.

* Inspect work throughout production to ensure high standards of accuracy and finish.

* Meet daily production and quality targets while maintaining consistency.

* Identify and report any faults or quality issues to supervisors.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation.

* Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve output goals.

Job Requirements

* Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist within a textile or manufacturing environment.

* Skilled in using industrial overlockers and other sewing machinery.

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Ability to work to targets and manage time effectively.

* Good understanding of quality inspection processes.

* Reliable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours:

Mon – Thurs: 7am – 4pm

Friday: 7am – 1pm
