Sewing Machinist

for a permanent position with a specialist furniture manufacturer in Yate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company producing bespoke, high-quality furniture within a supportive team environment.

If you have a background in upholstery, sewing, or furniture manufacturing and take pride in high-quality workmanship, this role is ideal for you.

Duties for Sewing Machinist: Operating sewing machines and production equipment to manufacture upholstered furniture Measuring, cutting, and sewing fabrics and upholstery materials accurately Stretching, fitting, and securing fabric, foam, and padding to frames Attaching coverings using hand tools, staples, adhesives, and machinery Working within a fast-paced production environment Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times Maintaining clean and organised work areas Ensuring tools and machinery are kept safe, clean, and in good working order Handling products carefully to avoid damage Working collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines

Requirements for Sewing Machinist: Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, in upholstery, or furniture manufacturing preferred but not essential Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment beneficial Experience operating sewing machines or production equipment desirable Strong attention to detail Ability to follow design specifications accurately Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards

Hours and Pay for Sewing Machinist: 7:45am

4:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) £12.71 per hour + Production Bonus (up to 10% monthly after probation) Bonus - Up to £200 extra per month Permanent Role Free parking Paid breaks
