SHEQ Engineer

Job Description

• Lead and enhance the company’s SHEQ management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ISO standards.

• Manage incident reporting and investigations, completing root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions.

• Conduct internal audits, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations, ensuring actions are tracked to closure.

• Support CDM requirements and maintain essential project documentation including H&S files, inspection plans, and audit records.

• Monitor and report on SHEQ KPIs, ESG data, training compliance, and overall performance metrics.

• Provide practical SHEQ guidance to project teams and act as a key liaison with clients, auditors, and regulatory authorities.


SHEQ Engineer

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Proven background in a SHEQ, HSE, or quality-driven engineering position.

• HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a relevant field.

• Practical understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

• NEBOSH certification (or similar) alongside experience conducting audits.

• Competent in reading technical drawings with knowledge of fabrication and welding practices.

• Effective communicator with solid IT skills and flexibility to travel when necessary.
