Job Description

Shift Electrician\n\n Birmingham\n Shift Pattern: 2 Days (7am–7pm), 2 Nights (7pm–7am), 4 Days Off\n⏰ 39.375 hours per week\n Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 + 22% Shift Allowance\n\nOverview\n\nWorking a rotating shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off, you will deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a live healthcare estate. This is a permanent position offering stability, a structured shift rota and an enhanced shift allowance (22% of basic salary). There is no on-call requirement.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the hospital estate\n\n * Diagnose and repair electrical faults including trip circuits, sockets, lighting systems and small power\n\n * Test and maintain emergency lighting systems and nurse call systems\n\n * Undertake general electrical maintenance, small installations and improvement works\n\n * Interpret drawings, specifications and technical instructions without supervision\n\n * Ensure all works are completed in line with contract KPIs and statutory compliance standards\n\n * Maintain services to the NHS Trust within a live, operational environment\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nEssential:\n\n * Approved Electrical Apprenticeship\n\n * AM2\n\n * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18)\n\n * Relevant Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (C&G / EAL / NVQ equivalent)\n\nOther Requirements:\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence\n\n * Ability to pass a Standard DBS check\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * 22% Shift Allowance\n\n * 24 days annual leave plus public holidays\n\n * Life cover (1.5x annual salary)\n\n * Employee discount schemes\n\n * Gym membership discounts
