About the Role
We are seeking a skilledShift Electricianto join our team at theAstraZeneca Discovery Centre in Cambridge, a 24/7 critical and highly client-facing site. ThisShift Electricianrole offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic building services environment, maintaining multiple buildings and key plant systems while ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems as aShift Electricianin acritical building services environment.
- Work on building services and plant, includingchillers, AHUs, FCUs, boilers, and HVAC systems.
- Conductplanned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault-finding.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, processes, and documentation (PTW, RAMS, compliance logs, shift handovers).
- Support and develop less experienced engineers within ateam-focused environment.
- Workhighly client-facing, maintaining professional relationships on a high-profile corporate site.
- Participate in acontinental shift pattern:
- 4 days: 06:00-18:00
- 4-5 days off
- 4 nights: 18:00-06:00
- No formal call-out rota, but short-notice cover may be required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical(minimum).
- Experience inbuilding services and critical plant systems.
- Awareness ofcritical systems; no specific BMS or lab equipment specialism required.
- Strong focus onsafety, compliance, and process.
- Excellentteamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and cultural fit.
- Willingness tomentor and support less experienced engineers.
