Shift Technician

This is a hands-on continental shift role within a Tier III live data centre, supporting 24/7 operations across critical mechanical infrastructure. It would suit someone from data centres, critical facilities, hospitals, or similar environments, who is confident maintaining and fault finding on cooling plant.

Shift Technician - Rainham, Essex
* Salary up to £62,000 (including shift allowance) + 10% bonus

The role is mechanically focused and includes ownership of HVAC systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, AHUs), chilled water systems, BMS monitoring, PPM delivery, incident response, and ensuring compliance across water hygiene (L8), safety, and SLA performance. You'll also be responsible for contractor management, logbooks, reporting, and supporting the Shift and Operations Managers with clear communication and escalation.
