Job Specification: Electrical EngineerKey Responsibilities - Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and additional tasks/emergencies in line with contract requirements for Mechanical Services and associated systems. - Ensure effective communication, especially when reporting plant problems or failures that may impact the client's business. - Complete all plant and Building Management System (BMS) checks on time, recording and communicating any issues to the Shift Leader. - Conduct PPM according to set schedules, maintaining high engineering standards to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems. - Proactively engage in preventative maintenance and maintain good site husbandry. - Promptly address all Helpdesk-related reactive maintenance issues related to mechanical infrastructure, heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework, and associated mechanical systems, or as directed. - Repair electrical and mechanical systems, controls, and associated systems. Package & Benefits - Work Pattern: Continental - Salary: £48,000 per annum - Annual Leave: 20 days - Pension: Included - Career Development: Opportunities for advancement - Additional Perks: Excellent professional development prospects Attributes - Strong planning and organizing skills - Achievement-oriented and proactive - Effective relationship-building abilities - Skilled in delivering through people - Business awareness - Customer-focused - Committed to continuous improvement - Adaptable to change - Demonstrable experience in BMS monitoring and alert escalation - Ability to stay calm under pressure - High levels of concentration, especially during routine tasks - Excellent verbal communication skills - Good numeracy and general IT skills Candidate Requirements - Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer with expertise in industrial, commercial, and domestic systems, performing PPMs per SFG20 or equivalent, with advanced fault-finding diagnostic experience. - Qualifications: - 18th Edition IEE Regulations - Electrical apprenticeship (ideal) - IOSH Working/Managing Safely (desirable) - Safe System of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS (desirable) - L8 Training (desirable) - Competent in the electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules. - Working knowledge of Air Handling Units, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment, UPS, and Emergency Generators. - Extensive experience in a multi-disciplinary technical team within complex facilities. - Significant M&E Operations Management experience in a business-critical client environment. - Authorizations: HV & LV Authorised Person - Familiarity with fuelling procedures. - Experience with HV generation and control systems. - Experience working within a critical and secure environment. Additional Requirements - Complete critical environment training and scenario training as per schedule. - Guide and train the shift team on SOPs/EOPs. - Maintain a thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience and training. - Support business contracts and professional functions effectively.
