Shift Maintenance Engineer

Annual Salary: Up to £42,000 plus 10% night shift allowance - dependent on experience Location: Parham, Suffolk Job Type: Full-time, Shift Work, LEN patternReed Engineering are working with a successful company with impressive growth plans who need a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing their production capabilities, ensuring seamless operations around the clock at their UK manufacturing plant.

Day-to-day of the role:

Ensure the availability of production and ancillary services equipment during shift hours, serving as the first point of contact for operators when equipment issues arise. Support the production shift team leaders by addressing day-to-day engineering needs and resolving issues efficiently and effectively. Conduct daily planned preventative maintenance activities and proficiently use and help develop the site's computer engineering maintenance management system. Perform unplanned maintenance and repairs as required to ensure optimum production run time during shifts, including fault finding on equipment to identify root causes. Support the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment. Identify and drive forward improvements to equipment and processes.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Formal apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in electrical, mechanical, and/or maintenance engineering. 18th Edition qualification is desirable. Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with three-phase systems, motor starters, control panels and motors. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearings, and drive transmission systems. Experience with variable speed drives is an advantage.Benefits:
