Location: Middlesbrough Discipline Split: Mechanical 70% / Electrical 30%

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking, safety-focused manufacturing environment. This role operates in a fast-paced production setting where your mechanical and electrical expertise will directly impact equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.

Drive improvements to reduce downtime and boost operational efficiency.

Support equipment upgrades, installations, and refurbishment projects.

Conduct dynamic risk assessments to ensure safe operations.

Maintain accurate shift reports, maintenance logs, and CMMS records.

Assist in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Communicate technical faults and provide recommendations to management.

Monitor and manage spare parts inventory.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 / 2 in Engineering, or equivalent time-served apprenticeship.

Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
