A highly regarded and well-established food manufacturing business based in Knaresborough is looking to appoint a Production Shift Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and is looking to make a real impact within a forward-thinking organisation.
The Role Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of your shift, leading a team through 4 direct reports. You will ensure operational excellence across key areas including safety, service, food standards, people development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop your team to deliver high performance
Ensure strict adherence to health & safety and food safety standards
Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
Build and execute effective production plans to meet customer demand
Maintain high service levels and on-time delivery performance
Support training and development across the production team
Monitor KPIs and implement improvements where required
About You Proven experience in a production or shift management role within manufacturing
Food manufacturing experience is highly advantageous
Strong leadership and people management skills
Ability to build and execute production plans effectively
A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
