Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled and experienced Shuttering Joiner to join a high-profile construction project in South Shields. Comprehensive Role Specification The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction and installation of formwork to hold setting concrete. Key responsibilities include: * Formwork Fabrication: Building and assembling timber or metal shutters, including specialised pans and systems for walls, columns, and slabs. * Reading Blueprints: Interpreting detailed technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate placement of formwork. * Structural Support: Installing internal bracing, tie-rods, and shoring to ensure formwork remains rigid and secure during the concrete pour. * Detailing: Creating precise openings for doors, windows, and service penetrations within the shuttering. * Striking & Cleaning: Carefully removing formwork once concrete has set (striking) and maintaining equipment for future use. * Compliance: Adhering strictly to Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements * Valid Blue CSCS Card (Skilled Worker - Formwork/Joinery). * Full Tool Kit suitable for all aspects of shuttering joinery. * Full PPE (Hard Hat, High-Visibility Vest/Jacket, Steel Toe Boots). * Proven Experience on large-scale civil engineering, commercial, or residential concrete frame projects. * Strong Reliability and a proactive approach to site safety and teamwork.
