Site Agent / Site Manager – Civil Engineering & Highways\n\n Devon & Cornwall (based between Exeter and Plymouth)\n Up to £50,000 + benefits\n Permanent, full-time\n The Role\n We are currently looking for an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager with a strong engineering bias to oversee the delivery of civil engineering and highways projects across Devon and Cornwall.\n You’ll play a key role in managing projects such as junction improvements, cycleway extensions, and temporary works, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected regional contractor with a strong reputation for quality and long-term local projects.\n Responsibilities:\n\nLead day-to-day site management and delivery\nDrive HSE performance through inductions, RAMS, audits, and site briefings\nManage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials effectively\nPlan and report on progress, maintaining accurate site records\nEnsure works are completed to specification, budget, and timescale\nLiaise with clients, designers, and stakeholders to resolve issues\nAbout You:\n\nProven background as a Site Agent or Site Manager within civil engineering or highways\nExperience delivering highways projects such as junction upgrades, cycleways, and temporary works\nPrevious experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor\nStrong technical knowledge, HSE leadership, and communication skills\nFull UK driving licence\nQualifications:\n\nSMSTS (or equivalent)\nCSCS\nFirst Aid at Work\nTemporary Works (Appointed Person/Supervisor) – advantageous\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary (DOE)\nCompany benefits package\nPermanent role with local/regional projects\nExcellent opportunities for career progression and professional development\n For more information or to apply, please contact Laura at RGB Recruitment
