Site Agent - Shaft Sinking / Tunnelling

Location: Otterbourne
Rate: £350 per day
Duration: 12‑month contract

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to work on a shaft sinking and tunnelling package on a water treatment site in Otterbourne.

This is a long‑term opportunity on a technically challenging project, suitable for someone with a strong background in water treatment, utilities, or tunnelling works.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing daily site operations on shaft sinking and tunnelling works
Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
Maintaining high standards of H&S, quality, and environmental compliance
Liaising with engineers, project managers, and client representatives
Supporting planning, permits, RAMS, and progress reporting

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Agent on shaft sinking, tunnelling, utilities, or water treatment projects
Strong understanding of water / wastewater environments
Excellent knowledge of H&S and site management procedures
SMSTS (essential)
CSCS (essential)
Temporary Works knowledge (advantageous)
