Job Description
Job Title: M&E Site Manager\n\nLocation: Leicestershire\n Start Date: 9th March 2026\n Contract Duration: 10 Weeks\n Rate: £300+ per day (DOE)\n\nOverview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee a CHP (Combined Heat & Power) replacement project within a live hospital environment in Leicestershire. This is a critical role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to maintain strict safety, compliance, and operational continuity within a sensitive healthcare setting.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage the on‑site delivery of a CHP replacement project from mobilisation through to handover.\nCoordinate all mechanical and electrical installation works to ensure programme, quality, and safety targets are met.\nManage subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to specification and in compliance with hospital protocols.\nConduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to RAMS and all applicable H&S legislation.\nMaintain close communication with hospital estates teams to mitigate operational disruptions in a live environment.\nOversee permit‑to‑work processes, site access, and all associated documentation.\nReview technical drawings, method statements, and ensure installation aligns with design requirements.\nProduce daily reports, progress updates, and escalate any risks to the project management team.\nEnsure project completion, testing, and commissioning activities are carried out efficiently.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as an M&E Site Manager on complex building services or energy‑based projects.\nStrong background in CHP systems, plantroom works, or large‑scale M&E replacement projects.\nExperience working in live hospital or healthcare environments (highly desirable).\nIn‑depth understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.\nSMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid (minimum).\nExcellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.\nAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and uphold strict safety standards.\n\nRate & Benefits\n\n£300+ per day, depending on experience and qualifications.\nWeekly payments.\nOpportunity to work on a high‑profile healthcare project with a reputable contractor.\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you are available from 9th March and have the relevant experience, please apply with your CV or get in touch directly for more information.\n\nPlease click to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
