This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transformer Engineer to join an established family-owned business based in Leeds. Our client are a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology. Their flagship product saves money, saves energy, cuts carbon and offers an innovative solution to the worldwide challenge of reducing energy wastage.

The Role:

Focussing mainly on new transformer and package substation installation on site including fitting, wiring and test of both distribution and power transformers. Role also includes some warranty investigation and rectification work on site and more routine equipment maintenance tasks.

Key areas include:

· Based on site with some occasional in-house pre fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers and associated packages.

· You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, preassembly images & parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.

· You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

· You will be required to travel to third party sites both in the UK and Europe to build up the equipment and test.

· You will ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard.
