Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a multi‑shift engineering team to deliver exceptional maintenance, reliability and efficiency across all site equipment.
Develop and deliver the site’s engineering strategy, including CAPEX projects, asset renewal, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive operational excellence with robust planned, preventative and reactive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Collaborate with production, quality and other site teams to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Manage budgets, negotiate with suppliers and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Proven track record in engineering management within food manufacturing or FMCG.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi‑shift teams and contractors.
Excellent knowledge of maintenance systems, lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
Confidence managing budgets, delivering CAPEX projects and influencing at senior level.
Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or above) and relevant H&S training (IOSH Managing Safely, PUWER, etc.).
