Job DescriptionFreelance Site Manager

Location: Catterick Rate: £375 per day Start Date: May 2026 (42 Week contract)

Project Overview

A large-scale infrastructure programme delivering the upgrade and modernisation of accommodation across a estate, alongside the construction of new supporting facilities. Works are being delivered across multiple sites using a programmatic approach, with a strong focus on Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), standardised design, and efficient delivery to improve quality and consistency.

Role Overview

As a Freelance Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations at the Catterick site, ensuring accommodation units and associated facilities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

\n Oversee daily site activities including accommodation builds and facility construction

\n

Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures

\n

Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site teams

\n

Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management

\n

Maintain quality standards and ensure works meet specifications

\n

Manage site logistics, materials, and resource allocation

\n

Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings

\n

Identify and resolve on-site issues to maintain programme timelines

\n

Liaise with project managers, clients, and key stakeholders

\n

Requirements

\n Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction/infrastructure projects

\n

Experience delivering accommodation and ancillary facilities

\n

Knowledge of MMC / modular construction (desirable)

\n

SC Clearance (advantageous)

\n

Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid

\n

Strong leadership and communication skills

\n

Ability to manage fast-paced, multi-phase projects
