Job Description
Site Manager – Cambridge\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager (SMSTS qualified) to lead the delivery of live secure commercial build projects in Cambridge. This role is ideal for a Site Manager with a proven background in commercial construction and experience working within secure, custodial, or similarly complex environments, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and security.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.\n\n * \n\n Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and trades across commercial build disciplines, including groundworks, structural works, envelope, internal packages, M&E, HVAC, and finishes.\n\n * \n\n Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings, ensuring strict compliance with MoJ security and access protocols.\n\n * \n\n Review, implement, and enforce RAMS, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and MoJ standards.\n\n * \n\n Work closely with project managers, client representatives, consultants, and custodial staff to ensure smooth project delivery.\n\n * \n\n Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily site diaries, progress reports, and quality records.\n\n * \n\n Manage site logistics, deliveries, and waste removal within restricted-access and secure environments.\n\n * \n\n Drive high standards of quality, health & safety, and security throughout all phases of the build.\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n SMSTS qualification (SSSTS may be considered)\n\n * \n\n Proven experience delivering commercial build projects\n\n * \n\n HVAC and IPS experience essential\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations\n\n * \n\n CSCS Black or Gold Card\n\n * \n\n First Aid at Work qualification\n\n * \n\n NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel if required\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills\n\nPackage\n\n * \n\n Permanent role\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work on complex, high-security commercial construction projects\n\nTo apply, please submit your CV and contact details for immediate consideration
