Site Manager
\nThe Opportunity\n
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy aggregates site. This position has become available due to a leaver and offers the opportunity to step into a well-established operation with strong support from the Operations Manager and genuine scope for progression.
\n
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will oversee a team of 8 operators and ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable running of the site.
\n\nThe Role\n
As Site Manager, you will be accountable for all operational, safety, and performance aspects of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management
\n
\n \n Oversee and coordinate daily site activities to ensure efficient material flow and productivity.
\n
\n
\n Prevent operational bottlenecks and maintain smooth site operations.
\n
\n
\n Work closely with the Wash Plant Manager to align output with demand.
\n
\n
\n
Team Leadership
\n
\n \n Manage crushing, screening, and yard operations to achieve production targets.
\n
\n
\n Lead and develop site personnel, ensuring effective supervision, training, and performance management.
\n
\n
\n Allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements.
\n
\n
\n
Health, Safety & Compliance
\n
\n \n Take full responsibility for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
\n
\n
\n Conduct site inspections, manage incident investigations, and enforce PPE standards.
\n
\n
\n Promote a strong safety culture across the workforce.
\n
\n
\n
Plant & Performance
\n
\n \n Oversee plant and equipment performance, ensuring maintenance is planned to minimise downtime.
\n
\n
\n Maintain quality standards for processed materials.
\n
\n
\n Provide structured reporting to senior management and escalate risks with practical solutions.
\n
\n
\n Monitor costs and drive continuous improvement across the site.
\n
\n
\n\nAbout You\n
\n \n Background in aggregates or civil engineering operations
\n
\n
\n Previous experience as a Site Manager or Senior Supervisor
\n
\n
\n Strong working knowledge of crushing, screening, and wash plant operations
\n
\n
\n Proven leadership and people management skills
\n
\n
\n Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards
\n
\n
\n Commercial awareness with a focus on efficiency and cost control
\n
\n
\n\nWhat's on Offer\n
\n \n £45,000 - £52,000 basic salary
\n
\n
\n Overtime paid at £25 per hour
\n
\n
\n Days-based role (7:00am - 5:00pm)
\n
\n
\n 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
\n
\n
\n NEST pension scheme
