Site Manager Water Treatment, Civils, AMP8, United Utilities We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and manage the delivery of water treatment projects with a strong civils focus, operating within the AMP8 framework for United Utilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role demands strong leadership in managing site teams, subcontractors, and resources while maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations. The Site Manager will coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and effective stakeholder communication. A proactive approach to risk management, programme control, and cost monitoring is essential to maximise project value and meet contractual obligations. Skills: Proven experience managing civils works on water treatment projects Strong knowledge of AMP8 framework requirements and United Utilities standards Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) management expertise Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors Programme and cost management skills, including risk mitigation Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Competence in producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) Familiarity with contract management, preferably NEC4 contracts Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Commercial awareness and budget control Software/Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Project management and site reporting software (e.g., MS Project, Field View) Digital documentation and compliance tools Certifications & Standards: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – essential CSCS Site Manager card – essential Temporary Works Coordinator () First Aid at Work (desirable) Knowledge of CDM (2015) Regulations Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and water industry standards
