Site Manager – Mezzanine Floor Specialist Location: Gateshead Start Date: 7th May 2026 Duration: 15 weeks (initial) Rate: £300-£350 per day About the Role We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new‑build industrial project in Gateshead. This role is with a trusted subcontractor specialising in mezzanine floor installations, so prior experience in this area is essential. Key Responsibilities
Manage all site operations for the project, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Coordinate subcontractors and labour on‑site. Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Maintain strict health and safety standards in line with SMSTS requirements. Report to senior management and liaise with the main contractor as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience managing mezzanine floor installations on commercial or industrial projects. Valid SMSTS qualification is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and problem‑solve on‑site. Experience managing budgets, schedules, and health & safety compliance.
