Site Manager / Working Foreman – Job Description

Location: Mayfair, London
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term (12 months)
Start Date: 1 July 2026

Role Overview

A hands-on Site Manager / Working Foreman is required to lead and deliver a full internal and external refurbishment of an office (townhouse) property.

The role involves managing the project on site from commencement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day site operations and programme delivery

* Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers

* Maintain sequencing of works and address delays where required

* Ensure high standards of quality across all aspects of the build

* Lead health and safety on site, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements

* Prepare and implement RAMS, ensuring adherence by all operatives

* Manage site inductions, access, and PPE compliance

* Conduct regular inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

* Identify and manage risks, particularly within constrained and/or conservation settings

* Liaise with internal project teams and stakeholders

* Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation

* Resolve day-to-day site issues to keep the project on track

* Ensure delivery aligns with design intent and any conservation requirements

Required Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment or high-end office/residential projects

* Strong practical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site delivery

* Hands-on background in construction or joinery (highly desirable)

* Demonstrable experience managing health and safety on site

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail

* Ability to take ownership of a project and work independently

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with teams, consultants, and subcontractors

* Flexible, reliable, and solutions-focused approach

* Experience working in central London or conservation areas (desirable)
