Site Manager – Residential Development

Location: Surrey

A leading residential developer is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new housing development in Surrey.

This role is specifically aimed at candidates who have previously been recognised through the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards, demonstrating an exceptional commitment to build quality, site management and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a residential development, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest possible standards.

The role

You will oversee all construction activity on site from site set up through to completion and handover. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and ensure the development is delivered in line with programme targets and strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of a residential housing development
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and on programme
• Maintain exceptional build quality and ensure full compliance with NHBC standards
• Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks throughout all build stages
• Manage Assistant Site Managers, Finishing Managers and subcontractors on site
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and resolve issues where required
• Maintain high health and safety standards across the development
• Ensure plots are completed to a high standard ahead of customer handover

Requirements

• Must have previously won an NHBC Pride in the Job award
• Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a residential housebuilder or developer
• Strong knowledge of traditional residential construction methods
• Excellent understanding of NHBC standards and build quality requirements
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification
