CJ Hiring is currently recruiting experienced Site Managers to join a major construction contractor delivering high-profile retail design and fit-out projects across South England. This is an excellent opportunity for construction professionals with strong retail sector experience to take ownership of fast-paced, high-quality projects within a well-established and growing organisation.

Role Summary

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of retail fit-out projects from inception through to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site activities for retail design and fit-out projects
• Oversee subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow
• Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Deliver projects in line with programme deadlines and quality expectations
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and design teams
• Monitor site progress and produce regular progress reports
• Manage site logistics, materials, and deliveries
• Conduct site meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders as required
• Ensure snagging, commissioning, and handover processes are completed to a high standard

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
• Strong background in retail design and fit-out projects (essential)
• Excellent knowledge of site health & safety regulations and compliance
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast-paced project schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification preferred
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South England sites

Desirable Experience

• Previous involvement in fast-track retail environments (high street, shopping centres, or flagship stores)
• Strong client-facing experience
