Freelance Site Manager – High-End Residential Fit-Out (£4m project value)

We’ve been instructed to find a Site Manager (No.1) for a £4m townhouse refurbishment / fit-out in Knightsbridge - Starts 2nd Feb 2026
The scheme is carefully designed, sensibly structured and fully funded. The scope is defined, the drawings are coordinated, and the programme reflects reality rather than optimism.
There are no major structural works. No heroic temporary solutions. No weekly re-interpretation of what was agreed at tender.
The works include a new external lift shaft, orangery, roof works and high-quality internal finishes - the sort that reward sequencing, patience and a site that runs to plan.
You – the Site Manager - will lead the project day to day, reporting directly to the Contracts Manager. The brief is uncomplicated: maintain control, coordinate effectively and let the work speak for itself. Health & Safety is treated as routine, not a campaign.
Quality is expected throughout, not discovered at handover. You will have delivered high-end residential fit-outs before, ideally in Prime Central London. You are comfortable operating independently as Site No.1 and understand that the best sites tend to be quiet ones.
SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS (Black or Gold) are required.
