Site Operations Manager
Cheshire
Food Manufacturing
£80,000 – £85,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
This is a newly created role within a growing food manufacturing business that has expanded significantly through acquisitions and the introduction of new products and customers.
As part of their continued investment in the future, they are looking to appoint a high-calibre Operations Manager to elevate site standards, develop the team, and enhance operational processes in line with their ambitious growth plans.
You will inherit a capable and established team, but they are looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, challenge existing ways of working, and embed a more people-centric, efficient, and collaborative culture across the site.
This is a role with a strong emphasis on leadership and people development. You’ll need to be confident in addressing behaviours, driving accountability, and fostering a high-performing, team-oriented environment.
Long-term, this is a genuine succession opportunity. The Site Director is seeking a strong number two who can develop into a future successor. Initially, the role will be heavily operationally focused, with scope to take on additional functions over time as you progress towards a Site Director position.
What you’ll need:
Experience as an Operations Manager or Factory Manager within dairy manufacturing, brewing, or chemical manufacturing
A strong people leader with a proven ability to drive cultural change
Solid understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and experience implementing them to deliver measurable improvements
