Job Description
Our client, an Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Site Security Manager to join them on a contract basis at their site in Edinburgh.\n\nDue to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the sole British and be eligible to obtain full SC Clearance. Please note SC Clearance must be obtained ahead of starting.\n6-month initial contract.\nFully onsite in Edinburgh.\n£63.68 p/h PAYE or £87.16 p/h UmbrellaSecurity Controllers are responsible for providing all security advice, guidance and support to ensuring the project operates all its activities on site in compliance with company policies and National Security requirements.\n\nDaily Duties of a Security Controller Include:\n\nSecurity Control & Administration\n\nManage access into the secure facility for all regular and visiting staff and internal and external visitors, including: \nCompleting checks on Security Clearance.\nEnsuring adherence to Security Policies and necessary escorting.\nManagement of passes for secure facility.\nManagement of lock combinations for secure facility doors & secure cabinets.\nControl of Classified Assets & Artefacts. \nManagement of Registers of Classified Assets & Artefacts.\nMuster & Audit of Classified Assets & Artefacts.\nDestruction of Classified Assets & Artefacts.\nCryptographic Management.
\nIn liaison with Site Security Manager, manage Cryptographic equipment and material for secure facility.\nIMPEX control. \nManaging records of Import to and Export from secure systems.\nGoods in / Goods Out. \nManaging records of goods entering and leaving the secure facilities.\nLiaison with Site Goods In and Security teams to ensure adherence to Security Policies.\nLiaison with wider Site Security & UK Security teams.\nFacilitate inspections and audits of secure facility by external inspection teams (E.g.
MoD, NACE).\nBrief new joiners and departmental staff on all aspects of facility security as and when required.\nProvide first point of contact for all business security related enquiries and be able to deal with the information efficiently and sensitively.\nCultivate and deliver sound business security knowledge in response to project, IT or personal needs.\nCoordinate and control the Secure Facility Security Risk Registers.\nAct as the Security Business Continuity Coordinator.\nDevelop and maintain good working relationships with key personnel, both internally and externally.\nDeal with general site enquiries and complaints, in a professional, approachable and constructive way, providing exceptional customer service.Customer Service\n\nProvide an effective and professional service to both internal and external customers, being the principle POC for all security enquires.\nLiaising with other companies and agencies to facilitate contractual compliance with HMG SPF for Classified Material, supporting the Site Security Manager.\nReport to the Site Security Manager any issues or concerns that may have an impact on the company's security and compliance with National Security Regulations.Process Administration\n\nMaintain an effective service and an up-to-date electronic filing system for all security related records.\nCoordinate the archiving and deleting of security held information in accordance with Company, HMG SPF and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).\nIdentify where improvements to existing processes could be made and implement changes through managed change control.Team Working / Organizational Expertise\n\nBe a proactive representative who can adapt their working pattern to meet the everyday changes in workload.\nProvide instruction and training to both permanent and temporary staff on the company and government security requirements as necessary.\nContribute to the building of a team spirit atmosphere.Resource Control\n\nTo utilise equipment and consumables in an acceptable manner saving on resources where possible.Experience Required \n\nExperienced working a similar role in a High Security environment (E.g. Military, Security Services, Prison Service, HMG, Police, Financial Services, Secure Engineering).\nMust hold, or be able to achieve, UKSV DV Security Clearance with no restrictions.\nDesirable - Working knowledge of relevant HMG Security Requirements (E.g. JSP440).\nMaintaining confidentiality, integrity and availability at all times.\nDiligent and timely process execution.\nProfessional, polite and personable.\nAble to work independently and to time scales.\nAble to collaborate with business functions and staff as required.\nExcellent interpersonal skills and standard of personal presentation.\nExcellent communication skills.\nProven experience of providing a positive customer experience.\nThe ability to use own initiative and work proactively to achieve results.\nProficient level of IT skills (MS Office packages).\nExcellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with outside agencies
