Site Supervisor - Full-Time (ASAP Start)
Location: Bolton
Hours: Mon-Thurs 6:30am-3:00pm, Fri 6:30am-11:30am
Contract: Full-year
Rate: £110-£150, per day dependant on experience
Start Date: ASAP

Empowering Learning are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to support the safe, efficient and smooth running of a busy secondary school environment. This is a full-year role and previous school experience is essential.

Key Purpose

To ensure the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, clean and fully compliant, providing a high-quality environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

School site/caretaking experience (required)
Carry out routine maintenance, basic repairs, DIY tasks and statutory checks

Oversee contractors, monitor major works and maintain compliance logs

Open/close the site daily, manage alarms, gates, doors and key security

Complete daily site checks, respond to emergencies and maintain CCTV/alarm systems

Support heating, electrical and utilities monitoring, reporting faults and arranging repairs

Maintain grounds, clear litter, leaves and debris, grit paths in icy weather

Assist with porterage, deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms

Support fire safety checks, weekly alarm tests and maintain fire safety records

Conduct weekly Legionella checks and keep the site's H&S documentation up to date

Oversee cleaning staff and ensure high standards are maintained

Strong maintenance, DIY and health & safety knowledge

Organised, proactive and able to prioritise tasks independently

Confident communicating with staff, contractors and visitors

Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain

Comfortable working in a busy school environment
