Site/Contracts Manager - Norwich/Kent
Our customer has 25+ years of dedicated experience in the sewage treatment industry. Their core focus is on supplying and fitting reliable sewage treatment units, drainage and utilities and pump stations, tailored to cater to the needs of both individual homeowners and property developers. The Site Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing and Supervision of up to 10 installations per week
Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Experience
1/An experienced Groundworker, who has worked in heavy civils, and is capable of managing teams of other experienced groundworkers.
2/Understanding the work and managing from the ground up and ensuring that our standards are met.
3/CPCS or equivalent on 360 excavators above and below 10 tons, wheeled diggers, dumpers, forklifts, telehandlers etc.
4/An experienced drain layer capable of domestic work (plastic and clay 110mm-150mm) and larger diameter pipes (plastic and concrete 225mm-1000mm).
5/Experience of working in high pressure environments and be able to foresee problems and issues days or weeks in advance.
6/Working out the logistics of manoeuvring multiple large HGVs to sites on narrow roads and lanes in Norfolk delivering materials, equipment and machinery in all weathers.
7/Experience in installing plastic tanks (septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, oil interceptors, storm attenuation).
8/Experience of working on large sites as well as smaller ones.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in managing heavy civil engineering projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
Hands on experience in groundworks and heavy civils….practical not theory.
