Ajax Equipment Ltd is a well-established engineering company with over 55 years’ experience designing and manufacturing specialist solids handling equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, confectionery, and fine chemical industries. We are now looking for a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team, producing high-quality stainless steel fabrications.
The Role
* Weld stainless steel fabrications to a high standard
* Work from detailed engineering drawings
* Use TIG, MIG, and MMA welding processes
* Carry out coded welding standards (desirable)
* Perform full penetration and advanced weld techniques
* Work within tight tolerances and specifications
* Support Sheet Metal Workers during fabrication activities
* Ensure correct clamping to minimise distortion
* Carry out quality checks at key stages
* Maintain safe, clean, and organised work areas
What We’re Looking For
* Time-served apprenticeship (C&G/NVQL3)
* Strong TIG, MIG, and MMA welding skills
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Experience working to high standards
* Coded welding experience (desirable)
* Proactive, reliable, team-focused attitude
