With state-of-the-art SMT lines and a strong focus on quality, TechPoint are continuing to invest in people, equipment, and their working environment making now a fantastic time to join.If you're looking to work with high-end electronics across industries like space, defence, and motorsport, and you enjoy hands-on technical work in a clean and modern setting, this could be the role for you.The responsibilities of the SMT Technician will include:Setting up and operating SMT equipment, including printers, reflow ovens, and pick-and-place machinesPreparing inventory, feeders, and materials for production runsReading build instructions and interpreting engineering drawingsPerforming first-off inspections and supporting AOI fault reviewCalibrating and maintaining machines to ensure optimal performanceHandling components correctly, including ESD precautions and MSL awarenessSupporting continuous line operation and assisting with manual part placement where neededWe are looking for a SMT Technician who:Has previous experience in an SMT production role (desirable)Understands surface mount machinery and PCB build processesIs confident reading build documentation and technical drawingsHas a hands-on, proactive approach to their workIdeally has an engineering background, preferably in electronicsIs comfortable using Microsoft Word and ExcelAs a SMT Technician, you can benefit from:£28,000 - 32,000 salary depending on experience25 days holiday bank holidaysAn extra day off for your birthdayPrivate healthcare and cash planCompany bonus schemeLife assurance (4x salary)Up to 5% employer pension contributionEnhanced parental leaveCycle to work schemeFree parkingIf you're interested in joining TechPoint as their next SMT Technician, APPLY NOW!
