Senior Quantity Surveyor
Commercial & Residential Apartment Projects | Up to £40m
Our client, a well-established and growing construction contractor/developer, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The role will involve delivering commercial and residential apartment projects, with individual scheme values of up to £40 million.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial management of commercial and residential projects up to £40m
Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
Procurement of subcontractor packages, including tendering and negotiation
Contract administration, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Regular cost reporting and risk management
Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
Background in commercial and/or residential apartment developments
Experience managing projects valued up to £40 million
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team
