Job Description

Hunter Adams is delighted to partner with a leading global organisation in the energy sector to appoint a Social Value Manager. This role sits within the Marketing and Communications function and reports directly to the Head of Marketing and Communications. The successful candidate will lead the organisation’s global Social Value and STEM strategy, delivering measurable impact aligned to selected UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


This position will work closely with internal teams and a wide range of external stakeholders to develop partnerships, implement programmes, and report on outcomes across multiple regions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the organisation’s global Social Value and STEM strategies
  • Manage the Global STEM Programme, including budget responsibility
  • Implement business processes to measure and report progress against UN SDGs
  • Work with regional and global teams to maximise the impact of social value activity
  • Build and manage relationships with STEM delivery partners, industry bodies, educators, and regulators
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, forums, and stakeholder meetings
  • Prepare operational plans, quarterly reviews, and performance reports
  • Improve the internal and external visibility of social value initiatives
  • Act as a senior point of contact for key stakeholders


Candidate Profile


Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience developing and delivering social value strategies
  • Strong understanding of STEM and its role in social value creation
  • Experience delivering STEM, education, or learning and development initiatives
  • Knowledge of the energy sector or safety-critical industries (desirable)
  • Experience aligning and reporting activity against UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Commercial awareness, including budget management and risk mitigation

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education in business, marketing, a technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience


Relevant experience and demonstrable impact will be considered as important as formal qualifications.
