Social Worker (Family Safeguarding Teams)

About the Role
As a Social Worker within the Assessment and Safeguarding Team, you will be responsible for:
Conducting assessments and providing appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
Working collaboratively with families to support positive change and improvement.
Building effective relationships with children, parents, and other professionals.
Maintaining accurate and timely records of interventions and progress.
Attending court hearings and providing evidence when required.
You will be part of a supportive and dedicated team, working together to achieve the best outcomes for children and families in West Berkshire.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
Experience working within a children and family services environment.
Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations, and best practices related to child protection and safeguarding.
Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 29 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years service.
