As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC’s C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX. or Birmingham, AL.

Roles and Responsibilities: •\tLead a team of developers as a tech lead and involved in coming up with technical designs, mentoring developers, quarterly reviews, possibly presenting technical solutions and architectures to the team. •\tParticipate in hands on development. •\tIndividual needs to be comfortable leading technical presentations, design reviews and architecture evaluations and able to mentor and guide junior developers, perform code reviews, and ensure high quality code standards. •\tIndividual needs to have proven experience in leading architecture design discussions, creating technical roadmaps, and driving adoption of best practices. •\tParticipate in production deployments. •\tStrong understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.

Technical Skills: •\tProficient in Java with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. •\tHands-on experience with Microservices architecture, including design, development, deployment. and scaling of microservices-based applications. •\tStrong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially OpenShift and Docker. •\tSolid knowledge of Apache Kafka with experience in Kafka optimizations. •\tExperience working with MongoDB, with a good understanding of schema design, indexing and aggregation pipelines. •\tExperience in designing scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures using cloud- principles. •\tKnowledge of RESTful API design and using tools like Swagger and Postman. •\tExperience working with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and proficiency with version control tools such as Git. •\tAgile/Scrum experience.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $158,700.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
