The organisation is strengthening its mobile and API security capabilities and is seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to help deliver and operationalise a Mobile RASP and API Security Gateway solution.This role is delivery-focused and hands-on, working across backend engineering, testing, security, and operational readiness in a regulated environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain secure PHP-based backend services and APIsBuild and maintain automated end-to-end and functional test suites using Playwright or similar toolsExecute and analyse performance and load tests using k6) to identify reliability, performance, and scalability risksContribute to security-focused initiatives, particularly in Mobile RASP, API security, and runtime protectionSupport the platform through rollout, steady-state operation, and handoverCollaborate closely with security, mobile, SRE, and platform engineering teamsProduce clear, audit-ready technical and operational documentationRequired SkillsStrong PHP engineering experienceExperience with PlaywrightHands-on experience with k6Experienceinsecurity-focused engineering, Ideally including:Mobile RASP, application security, API security, or runtime protection technologies (or ability to ramp up quickly)Secrets, certificate pins, and lifecycle managementCertificate pin rotationAPI key and secret lifecycle ownershipBreak-glass access proceduresCross-team coordination aligned with mobile release cadenceExperience supporting systems in steady-state productionReasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
