Software Engineer PLC Programmer

Location: Bromborough & Customer Sites

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Pension + Benefits
Days Based - Monday to Friday

The Company

My client is one of UKs leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery solutions to a wide variety of fast moving manufacturing industries. They have over 100 employees on site in Bromborough. With a growing presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within a variety of food machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional software PLC engineer.

Key Skills

• HNC/HND or Equivalent Electrical Engineer
• PLC Programmer, ideally with Automated Process Machinery
• Understanding of FMCG Industry

The Role

Develop,test,andcommissionPLCandHMIsoftwareforprocessingandpackaging equipment. Establishandmanagearemotesupportsystemforengineersandcustomers.Provideremoteandon-sitesupportdiagnosingfaults,guidingrepairs,andimplementing software updates. TravelacrosstheUK & Ireland(approx.4050%)forcommissioning,integration, andtechnical support. Collaboratewithmechanical,electrical,andprojectteamsoncompleteautomationsolutions. Maintain software documentation, system standards, and remote access procedures.

Ensurecompliancewithelectricalandsafetystandardsandcontributetocontinuous improvement. Ideally you will be an experiencedPLCProgrammer/AutomationEngineerwithstrongelectricalknowledge. SkilledinSiemensS7/TIAPortal,Allen Bradley,Mitsubishi,Fuji,Lenze.
