Working closely with scientists, process engineers, and fellow developers, you'll deliver scalable and intelligent applications that drive digital transformation in complex production settings.\n\nThis role would suit a highly motivated individual with strong full-stack development skills and a passion for applied science and engineering.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain bespoke software solutions to support:\n\nData traceability, visualisation, and analysis\n\nPredictive modelling and performance optimisation\n\nAlloy and component design\n\nBuild preparation for additive manufacturing\n\nProduction quality control and statistical process management\n\nCollaborate within an agile, multidisciplinary team to deliver high-impact technical solutions\n\nEngage in all aspects of the development process, from requirement gathering to deployment and user training\n\nSolve complex technical problems using creative, data-driven approaches\n\nChampion best practices in software engineering including CI/CD, TDD, and agile methodologies\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field (2:1 or above)\n\nStrong full-stack development background with proficiency in C# and \n\nSolid experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g.
React, Blazor)\n\nStrong understanding of design patterns, test-driven development (TDD), and CI/CD pipelines\n\nExperience working in agile, cross-functional teams\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to interpret complex technical requirements\n\nA keen interest in applied engineering, manufacturing, or materials science\n\nDesirable Skills\n\nExperience with TypeScript, GraphQL, or Blazor\n\nFamiliarity with Python and/or C++\n\nGood knowledge of UX/UI best practices\n\nExperience with containerisation (e.g., Docker, development containers)\n\nExposure to cloud deployment platforms (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure Functions)\n\nInfrastructure as Code experience using Terraform (Azure or AWS)
