I'm working with a well-established UK technology company based in Stockport that is looking for an experienced, hands-on Software Team Leader to take technical ownership of their core software and lead a small, highly skilled development team. This role suits a senior C++ developer who still enjoys being close to the code, but also wants responsibility for technical direction, delivery, and mentoring.
The Opportunity
You'll lead a small team of software engineers responsible for developing and maintaining PC-based software. Working closely with sales, marketing, customers, and senior management, you'll help define specifications, design new functionality, and deliver robust, high-performance software solutions. This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role, combining technical design and development with team leadership, planning, and stakeholder engagement. There is also the opportunity for occasional UK and international travel, should this be of interest.
