The team you will join
You will join a highly successful, leading Commercial and Technology division, who are seeing substantial growth, resulting in the need for extra resource to take forward ambitious plans for the future.
As part of Tier 1 Legal 500, our Commercial and Technology specialists work extensively with technology clients to assist in their growth and development. We have vast experience of restructuring, establishing tax efficient, and robust corporate structures for early stage and developing technology businesses.
We regularly advise on angel and venture capital funding for both investors and investees and our lawyers assist technology businesses on securing, protecting and exploiting their intellectual property.
We assist our technology clients grow and exploit their businesses through licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements, research and development projects, joint ventures, cloud computing, e-commerce solutions while ensuring they meet their statutory and regulatory obligations.
The work you will be doing
The work will involve a good understanding of and keen interest in commercial and technology law and while experience in the commercial and technology field would be welcomed, the absence of such experience is not a bar and we would consider candidates who have trained or qualified in other legal sectors.
The role requires excellent drafting and legal writing skills, an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and others, and the confidence to negotiate contract terms and commercial issues.
You will be expected to take ‘ownership’ of your matters and progress these with clients and others.

You will need to have strong attention to detail skills to produce work documentation which is consistently of a high standard. You will have a flexible approach to work to ensure client deadlines are always met and clients are communicated with on a consistent and regular basis and an interest in and aptitude for business development.
