A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Associate (1+ PQE) to join its Business Support & Insolvency team.

This Southampton-based role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading Partners and be part of a collaborative, cross-office insolvency team. It’s an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their career within a well-established and growing insolvency practice.

\n\n

Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in personal and/or corporate insolvency (contentious and non-contentious), or solicitors from a corporate or commercial litigation background seeking to specialise in insolvency. The successful candidate will advise a broad client base including insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, investors, directors, companies and individuals. The position offers early responsibility and exposure to a wide range of matters, including:

Administration appointments

\n\n

Security reviews

\n\n

Sales of businesses and assets out of insolvency

\n\n

Bankruptcy and liquidation matters

\n\n

Officeholder claims and antecedent transactions

\n\n

Experience working with LPA Receivers would be advantageous but is not essential.

\n\n

Candidate profile:

\n\n

Strong grounding in core legal principles, with a good understanding of insolvency and/or company law

\n\n

Excellent analytical and communication skills

\n\n

Commercially aware with a proactive approach

\n\n

Interest in business development and networking across the South and Thames Valley

\n\n

Collaborative, personable and client-focused

\n\n

Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibility from an early stage

\n\n
