Job Description

AWS Solution Architect

Location: London (Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite)

Salary: Up to £104,000 base + package

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced AWS Solution Architect operating at Senior Manager level to lead large-scale cloud transformation programmes for enterprise clients. You’ll shape strategy, define architecture, and drive delivery across complex environments, working at the intersection of technology leadership and business transformation.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end AWS cloud solutions, aligning technical architecture with business objectives, and leading transformation initiatives across data, applications, and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

Defining enterprise cloud strategies, governance frameworks, and AWS architecture standards Leading large-scale cloud transformation programmes (e.g. legacy modernisation, data centre exit) Designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures aligned to business goals Driving innovation across data, AI/ML, and multi-cloud strategies Engaging senior stakeholders and presenting to executive-level audiences Embedding security, compliance, and best practice across all cloud environments Mentoring and developing high-performing technical teams

What You’ll Bring

Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions in complex environments Proven track record leading enterprise cloud transformation programmes Deep understanding of cloud architecture across application, data, integration, and security domains Experience with modern cloud patterns (microservices, serverless, containers) and DevOps/CI-CD Knowledge of cost optimisation, governance, and compliance frameworks Strong stakeholder management and consulting capability

Desirable

AWS certifications (Associate/Professional; Specialty certifications a bonus) Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP) Experience with AI/ML and advanced data platforms
